Once I sign up what happens?
First, we set up an initial conference call to get to know the stakeholders in your company and we ask some questions about your flight operations. Then, we get copies of your contracts & your latest invoices and go back & review them. Once that is complete, we set up a meeting to answer any questions and then we begin our review/audit process. This usually takes about 2-3 weeks.
Do you look at the same things every month?
No. Our audit program is a 12 month progressive audit program. This is for several reasons. The primary reason is, if we asked all these questions all at once, it would take up a lot of time for both your management company and your internal team. We look at some items every month but our audit schedule is based on a progressive audit.
If this is not for me can I cancel?
Yes- The details of our cancellation policy are here. As a philosophy we discussed several options internally about having discount for committing for a year but we realize that this does not build trust. Therefore, our policy is you can cancel anytime. We will finish working on what you purchased and not bill you any further. We even make it simple to cancel by just logging into your account.
What if you have a non audit related aviation question?
Ask us! We have the distinct advantage of being an impartial former aircraft manager with a wealth of contacts and experience in the private aviation world. We want to make sure that you are happy with private aviation… If it is going to take a lot of time to research we will tell you before we start getting into billing but if it’s a quick question we can usually get back to you and find the answer rather quickly.
How does your service work with our internal accounting team?
We can either handle the invoice review for you entirely or work to augment your internal accounting team. We know aircraft and the aviation vocabulary that is not common knowledge for most accountants. Aviation has its own language and we can act as a reference for your internal accounting team and help with reviewing the expenses.
How do you work with management companies?
We work well with management companies. Whether you are a fully managed or a charter managed client we have experience in aircraft management and aircraft brokerage so we know what its like to be on the other side. We are easy to work with and work with all management companies in a friendly and professional manner.
Do you offer custom reporting?
Yes- custom reporting is available and can be quoted and added to your monthly fee.
Do you communicate with the clients team or directly with the management company?
The answer is it depends on what you want us to do. We can coordinate our invoice questions and clarifications directly with the management company and cc you or just act behind the scenes and suggest questions for you to ask and documents for you to request. We work for you so the management company does not need to know we are even involved if you don’t want them to.
What is the Aircraft Value Monitoring?
Aircraft Value Monitoring is the periodic including of 3rd party service of the value of aircraft similar to yours. This is not an appraisal but trend monitoring for your specific aircraft type so that you are not caught off guard when it comes time to sell your aircraft.
Do you offer other Services?
Yes we offer additional services – our most common is aircraft brokerage (Selling your aircraft or buying a new one) and also custom reporting. We can also offer budgeting but that service really should be done by your aircraft manager.
